Worse is Path of Fire maps (the latest expansion) are currently unplayable with high pings spike almost all the time even for others players outside of Oceanic and SEA regions even from US. be it PVE, PVP or WvW, the lags is everywhere. The high pings will continued on even up to for 2 weeks. 
And this happen frequently throughout my 4 years plus, especially every time a new patch update happen or during festival event. On a bad day your ping will go as high as 4000 pings. On a good day, you will experience constant 300 pings and above gameplay delay and constant lag. I'm an Oceanic player and have been playing this game for over 4 years now. Oceanic and SEA players do not waste your money, don't buy Guild Wars 2.
